What these terms cover
Your use of HireMtu — the website, the account you sign in to, and the jobs you post, quote on or carry out through it.
What HireMtu is
A marketplace that introduces people who need work done to people who do it. HireMtu is not the employer of the workers on the platform, and does not carry out the work itself. What HireMtu does is hold the payment until the job is confirmed complete, verify identities, and step in when the two sides disagree.
Money
- The hirer funds the agreed amount before work starts, and it is held rather than paid out.
- Funds are released when the hirer confirms completion, or automatically after 48 hours if they do not respond and have raised no dispute.
- A 5% commission is deducted from the worker's payout on completed jobs.
- Raising a dispute freezes the funds until it is resolved.
Taking work off the platform
Agreeing a job on HireMtu and then arranging payment outside it removes every protection described here for both people involved — there is no held payment, no record, and no dispute route. We discourage it, and accounts that do it repeatedly may be removed.
Changes
If these terms change we will date the new version so you can see what changed.
